1876 Prague Cello
4/4 Violincello on rare 'small' pattern
Description: Small pattern full-size cello. The back is two-piece maple, semi-slab cut with faint figure in the lower half.
The ribs are similar the back with rather more curl and figure. The top is of spruce, two pieces, with rather wide, irregular grain widening away from the middle. The neck and pegbox are original crowned by a rather large volute. The varnish is reddish-brown
in color. Despite the presence of several well-mended cracks, the condition of the cello is good.
